How Luna Skills work

A skill is the script your AI runs when a tenant reports a problem. Fifteen ship in the box, they pick themselves, and the safety checks sit outside anything you can edit.

One script per situation, chosen automatically

Action: Open Luna Skills under Maintenance. Fifteen skills ship with Rentari, one per common situation: no heat, a water leak, a blocked drain, a lockout, and so on. When a tenant describes a problem, Rentari matches their words to a skill and the AI follows that script instead of improvising.

If nothing matches, the AI falls back to its general maintenance assistant. It never invents a procedure.

Step 1: One script per situation, chosen automatically

Safety is checked before any script runs

Action: Every tenant message is scanned for life-safety wording first: gas, fire, carbon monoxide, sparking, a collapse, someone trapped. That scan is not part of any script and does not involve the AI at all. When it fires, the tenant gets a fixed instruction to call 911 and the ticket is raised as an emergency.

This is why the safety stops shown inside a skill are locked. You can rewrite every question in a script and a tenant reporting a gas smell still gets the evacuation instruction.

Step 2: Safety is checked before any script runs

Switch off anything you do not want running

Action: Each skill card has an on-off toggle. Switch one off and the AI stops using it immediately, falling back to the general assistant for that kind of issue. Use Create custom skill for situations specific to your buildings.

Turning a skill off does not lose your edits. Toggle it back on and the script is exactly as you left it.
