Rent collection questions

How do tenants pay rent through Rentari.ai?
Tenants link a bank account (ACH) or pay by debit/credit card from the renter portal. Autopay is supported and recommended; one-time payments and split payments between roommates also work.
Are there fees on rent that I collect?
Zero Rentari.ai platform fee. The actual Stripe processing fees are split fairly with the tenant: ACH 50/50 (around $2.50 each side) and card share capped at $5 on the landlord side, with the tenant covering the rest. No markup, just the Stripe fee passed through.
How fast does rent reach my account?
ACH transfers settle in two to three business days. Same-day ACH is available on annual plans for a small surcharge. Card payments settle in two business days.
Can I configure late fees automatically?
Yes. Set a grace period, late-fee amount, and per-day cap that comply with your state and your lease. Rentari.ai assesses the fee on the configured day and notifies the tenant. You can waive any fee from the dashboard with one click.
Can rent be split between multiple tenants?
Yes. Set the per-tenant share for each lease. Each roommate links their own bank account, and Rentari.ai chases their portion individually. The lease still holds them jointly liable per state law.
