Filling a unit is the part of this job where you are spending money, not making it. Charging a landlord to advertise a vacancy and read applications means charging them at their worst cash-flow moment, which is why so many free plans quietly expire right when the work starts.
So the free tier is the whole vacancy: publish the listing, syndicate it, collect the enquiries in one place, take applications with the FCRA paperwork attached, and screen whoever applies. You pay when there is rent coming in to pay from.

If you are between tenants, renting out a first property, or collecting rent some other way and only want the marketing and screening half, the free tier is the whole product for you and there is no countdown running. Plenty of landlords sit on it for a season, fill a unit, and never pay us anything.
Upgrade when the thing you need next is on the other list: sending a lease for signature, taking rent by ACH or card with autopay, or keeping books you can hand to an accountant. That is a decision you make with a tenant in place, which is a much easier decision than making it now.
