Sign-in code missing or expired
Check where your login code was sent, request a fresh code when needed, and recover a sign-in that cannot continue.
On this page
Before you start
- Use the email address associated with your Rentari account and keep access to its email inbox or phone.
- These steps match the browser sign-in screen, including on a phone. Check the text of the error before trying again.
Check the account and delivery destination
Action: On the sign-in screen, confirm the account email. Use Change on the password screen or Cancel on the code screen to correct it. Read the destination below Confirm it is you, then check that email inbox or the phone number ending shown.
A code-sent message does not confirm that the message reached your inbox or phone.
Look for the message in the right place
Action: For an email code, check spam or junk and search your mailbox for Rentari.ai. For a text, check your messages and filtered or blocked messages, and confirm the phone can receive texts.
If the text does not arrive and you can access the account email, select Email it instead when offered. Check the email destination shown on the page.
Request one fresh code
Action: If the code has not arrived or has expired, request one fresh code. To keep using email after selecting Email it instead, select Email it instead again when offered. Otherwise use Resend the code and check both the account email and text messages, because Resend can choose a different delivery channel. Wait for any countdown to finish, then use the newest message for this account.
The sign-in code expires in 10 minutes. A new code replaces the previous one, so an older message that arrives later will not work.
Enter the code and follow the result
Action: Enter all six digits in the code boxes and select Verify and continue. If you return to sign-in with Invalid or expired 2FA code, start again with the correct email and request a fresh code.
If the page says there have been too many attempts or code requests, stop and wait for the stated period before trying again.
Use the right recovery path
Action: If the problem is a forgotten password, use Forgot password? on the password screen. If you cannot access either the account email or phone, contact support from the Help Center. Include the sign-in error, when it happened, and whether you expected email or text.
Do not send your password or verification code to support or another person. A password-reset link is different from a sign-in code.
Check the result
- Successful verification advances to the account workspace or the next required verification step. A sent-code notice alone does not mean you are signed in.
- If access is still blocked, you know the delivery channel and exact error to report without sharing a code or password.
Troubleshooting & questions
The page says the code was sent. Why is my inbox empty?
Delivery can still be delayed or filtered. Confirm the email used for sign-in, check spam or junk, and check the destination shown on the code screen. Request one fresh code when available; do not treat the sent notice as delivery confirmation.
Why did an older code stop working?
A new sign-in code replaces the previous code. Use the newest message requested for the same account and enter it within 10 minutes. Codes that arrive out of order can be confusing, so check the time of the request.
Can I receive the code by email if my phone is unavailable?
On the browser code screen, choose Email it instead when offered. This uses the account email, not a new address you enter on that screen. If you need another email code, use Email it instead again; the general Resend control can switch back to text. If you no longer have access to that inbox either, contact support.
Why is Resend unavailable or why do I see too many attempts?
Wait for any resend countdown and follow the waiting period in the error message. Repeated requests or guesses can trigger a longer limit. Reopening the page is not a way to bypass that limit.
Does verifying a sign-in code finish every account check?
Not always. Rentari may ask you to finish another account verification step before opening your workspace. Follow the page that appears; receiving or entering a code does not by itself complete all account checks.
