Everyone Documents
Photos or documents will not upload on mobile
Check the right file limits, resolve a stalled upload, and confirm that the file reached the intended listing, request or document library.
On this page
Before you start
- Open the intended property, repair request, application or document library in your own account. Demo accounts do not save uploads.
- Keep the original file on your phone. Check its size and format, and make sure a cloud-stored file opens locally before selecting it. Follow the workspace step below that matches your task.
Check the picker and connection
Action: Tap the file or photo chooser once and select a file you can open on your phone. If the picker does not open, return to the page and try its file chooser again. If your phone reports denied camera or photo access, review the permission for the browser or Rentari app you are actually using.
Camera, photo-library and Files choices vary by phone and browser. A camera permission prompt is not required for every upload. Keep the page or app open while an upload is running.
For listing photos, check the upload result
Action: In the listing Photos step, choose JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or HEIF files of 25 MB or less each. Selecting files starts the upload. Wait for the uploaded count, then inspect Your photos. If a batch fails, check which photos already appeared and retry only the missing files in a smaller batch.
The listing uploader splits selections into batches. A partially completed batch does not mean every selected photo was saved. Uploading photos does not by itself publish a listing.
For repair photos, identify the screen you are using
Action: The renter mobile app accepts up to six JPEG, PNG or WebP photos per request, 8 MB or less each and no more than 20 megapixels per image. Wait for Uploaded on every photo; use Retry upload or remove a failed selection before sending the request. The landlord website's Create request form instead keeps one photo, with a 12 MB limit; use JPG, PNG or WebP there and check the photo on the created request.
The current renter website request form has no photo chooser. This is different from the renter mobile app. An Uploaded photo in the app is still part of the draft until the request is successfully submitted.
For application documents, use Supporting documents
Action: Open the application, expand Application details and documents, and choose the Document type and File under Supporting documents. Use a PDF or supported image of 10 MB or less. There can be up to 10 active documents on an application. Tap Upload document, read the result, then use Reload documents and open the saved entry.
Closed applications do not accept document changes. A file name in the chooser is only a selection; look for the uploaded confirmation and saved document entry.
For document libraries, check storage and finish Upload
Action: In Docs & E-Sign, choose File, review Category, Rental and Private, then tap Upload. Read any storage or upload error and check the document list under the selected rental. In the renter's My Documents, choose What is it before selecting a file in Your uploads; selection starts that upload. Both libraries enforce account storage limits, so a file accepted elsewhere may still exceed the space available here.
Get it e-signed opens a separate preparation step after upload. Uploading does not send or sign the document. Your uploads in the renter library is private storage, not an application submission.
Confirm saved files before retrying
Action: If the connection drops or the result is unclear, first reopen or reload the saved list and look for the file or request. Retry only what is missing. If a size or format error appears, export a smaller supported copy from your photo or document app and select that copy. If the problem continues, contact support with the page name, phone and browser or app, file format and size, and the exact error text.
Changing a filename extension does not convert the file. Keep sensitive document contents out of a troubleshooting screenshot; the error message and file type are usually enough to start.
Check the result
- The intended file appears in the saved photo or document list, or on the submitted repair request. Reopening that record distinguishes a completed upload from a local selection or draft.
- If the upload is still blocked, you can identify whether the problem is file format, size, remaining storage, a closed application, unavailable controls or an unconfirmed connection.
Troubleshooting & questions
Why does an iPhone HEIC photo work in one place but fail in another?
The workspaces accept different formats. Listing photos accept HEIC and HEIF. Renter mobile repair photos require JPEG, PNG or WebP. Application documents list HEIC and HEIF, but decoding may be unavailable; that page recommends converting to JPG or PNG. Exporting an actual JPG or PNG copy is the useful retry, rather than renaming .heic to .jpg.
Why can I select several landlord repair photos but see only one afterward?
The landlord Create request form currently keeps one photo even though its picker accepts multiple selections. Its helper text explains this limit. Choose the clearest image first and inspect the created request. Do not assume the remaining previews were attached.
Why is Send unavailable after I choose a repair photo in the mobile app?
Every selected photo must finish uploading before you can send the request. A photo marked Needs retry must be retried or removed, and the request needs a title. Uploading, removing a photo or submitting the request also temporarily disables actions.
What if the file chooser is missing rather than failing?
First check the workspace and account. The current renter website repair form has no photo attachment control, while the renter mobile app has Take a photo and Choose a photo. Closed applications remove the upload form, and demo accounts cannot save changes. Changing camera permissions will not add an unavailable control.
The file uploaded. Why has the recipient not received or reviewed it?
Storage, submission and review are separate steps. Renter Your uploads is private; application evidence belongs in that application's Supporting documents. A repair photo must be attached to a submitted request. A document uploaded for e-signature still needs preparation and sending. An upload confirmation does not confirm delivery, signature or review.
