Landlords Leasing & Screening

Customize, pause and share your pre-screener

Edit up to four questions and choose whether new leads receive them automatically.

Before you start

  • Decide what information you need before an application and review the standard questions. Prepare concise custom questions for the available slots.

Edit and preview questions

  1. Open Settings, then Pre screener, and review Custom questions and Standard questions.
  2. Enter up to four open-ended custom questions. Leave a field blank to omit it, or use its Delete question button to clear it.
  3. Choose Save questions. If a question is refused, read the reason, revise the wording and save again.
  4. Choose Preview pre-screener to check the saved questions as a renter will see them.
  5. To share it, copy the general pre-screener link shown below Standard questions. Share that link, rather than the signed-in preview address.

Pause automatic sending

Under Auto-send pre-screener, choose Turn off and check that the status changes to Off. Use Turn on to resume. This setting controls automatic sending to new listing leads; your saved questions and general pre-screener link remain available.

Check the result

  • The settings page reflects the saved custom questions and automatic-send state. Preview pre-screener lets you inspect what the form shows to a lead.

Troubleshooting & questions

Does clearing a question immediately remove the saved question?

Clearing changes the form field. Choose Save questions and read the result, then preview the pre-screener to check the stored version.

Why was my custom question not saved?

Read the validation message and revise the indicated question. The form checks questions before saving; a successful save is not a guarantee about how you may use the answers.

Does turning off automatic sending remove existing responses?

The toggle controls automatic sending to new listing leads. Review existing lead records separately; do not treat the toggle as a command to erase previously submitted responses.
