Landlords Leasing & Screening
Understand a screening request that is still waiting
Separate payment, identity, processing and review steps before requesting another check.
On this page
Before you start
- Open the applicant's existing Screening report tab and read the full lifecycle label, not only the application status. Check which person is responsible for payment.
Read the current request status
- Open the applicant and review the screening status for that person.
- Awaiting payment means the report has not started. Check the payer shown on the request.
- Awaiting identity means the applicant still needs to complete identity and consent steps.
- Processing means results are not ready. Manual review means the request needs review before results can be released.
- For Failed or no recorded request, choose Review screening request and inspect the existing details before starting another request.
When the status is Completed
Open the available report and review its source and coverage. A request status alone is not a rental decision or proof that every possible check was included.
Check the result
- You know whether the request is waiting on payment, identity steps, processing or manual review, and can follow the next step shown for that existing request.
Troubleshooting & questions
Can I complete identity verification for the applicant?
The applicant must complete the identity and consent steps through their own request. Do not treat a waiting status as completed authorization.
Should I create a new request while the old one is Processing?
Processing means results are not available yet. Follow the existing request status; creating a duplicate does not complete it.
What does Manual review mean?
The request needs review before results can be released. Follow any instructions supplied for that request rather than assuming it has failed or passed.
