Landlords Getting Started

Send the same message to selected tenants

Choose recipients and send an announcement with separate replies for each tenant.

Before you start

  • Choose only the intended tenants with current leases. Write a message that makes sense to each recipient individually.

Choose recipients and compose

  1. Open Send message. Under Who gets this, select the intended tenants, or use Select all and clear anyone who should not receive it.
  2. If the page already shows a To list, review those names. Use Back to change a selection made from a tenant or lease page.
  3. Write the announcement in Compose new message. Keep it within the displayed 5,000-character limit.
  4. Review the recipients and complete message, then choose Send message.
  5. Read the result in Messages and check the recipient threads before sending the same announcement again.

Who can receive it

A tenant without a current lease is unavailable in this picker. Messages use the primary tenant email on the selected current lease; do not assume other household members are included. If no valid recipient can be found, review the tenant email and lease connection.

How replies work

Each recipient has a separate portal conversation, with email queued for that recipient. The send confirmation does not prove inbox delivery. Shared group conversations are currently unavailable, so recipients cannot use this announcement to reply to one another.

Check the result

  • A successful submission queues the selected emails and records separate portal conversations. It does not create a shared group thread.

Troubleshooting & questions

Why is a tenant missing from the recipient list?

This page lists tenants associated with current leases. Check the tenant’s lease association before trying another contact route.

The form rejected the message. What should I change?

Select at least one available recipient and enter a message within the displayed 5,000-character limit. Read any returned error before retrying; do not assume a failed request sent.
