Tenants Pay Rent
I connected a bank account. Has my rent been paid?
Saving a payment method and making a payment are separate steps.
On this page
Before you start
- Check Money for an unpaid balance and any payment already Processing.
- Confirm whether the saved method is ready to use or still needs verification.
Check before making a payment
- Open Money and review Account History and any Processing amount for a payment already underway.
- Open Payment Methods and check that your bank account or card appears as a saved method.
- If the bank needs verification, complete the available verification step before trying to use it.
- When an unpaid balance is payable, choose Make a Payment and select the method you intend to use.
- Review the charges, payment amount and displayed fee before confirming. Check the result and Account History afterward.
What the saved message means
Bank account connected or Payment method saved confirms setup. It does not confirm that rent was paid or that autopay is on.
Check the result
- A saved method appears under Payment methods; a submitted rent payment has its own result and history entry.
- Autopay status can be checked separately instead of inferred from bank setup.
Troubleshooting & questions
Does a bank-connection confirmation mean I paid rent?
No. It confirms the setup step described by the message. Check Payment history for a separate payment amount, date and status before deciding that rent was paid.
The bank is listed but cannot be selected. What now?
Read its verification or availability message and complete the offered step. If no verification action is available, use another eligible method or ask your manager about an alternative arrangement; do not assume the method is ready.
