Tenants Pay Rent

Why is autopay unavailable on my lease?

Check the lease billing message and pay available charges from Money.

Before you start

  • Open Autopay in Money and read the exact eligibility message for the lease.
  • Review the current unpaid charges so you know which payment still needs attention.

Read the Autopay section

  1. Open Money and choose the Autopay tile.
  2. If the section says your landlord bills individual charges, this lease does not support autopay.
  3. Return to the balance and use Make a Payment for the charges currently available to pay.
  4. If this differs from the arrangement you expected, message your manager to review how the lease bills rent.

If setup is available but cannot finish

Check that a payment method has been saved. After turning autopay on, confirm that the section shows On. An error while changing autopay does not confirm a new schedule, and saving a bank account alone does not enable autopay.

Check the result

  • You can distinguish a lease-eligibility restriction from an incomplete payment-method setup.
  • An individual payment can be tracked separately when it is offered; the custom schedule draft does not change autopay.

Troubleshooting & questions

Will adding another card or bank account remove a lease restriction?

No. A method change does not change how the lease bills rent. If the page says the landlord bills individual charges, ask your manager to review the arrangement and use the supported individual payment options.

I changed dates in the custom schedule. Why is Autopay unchanged?

That screen explicitly marks custom dates and charge selection as an unsaved draft. Standard autopay and its current status remain separate. Do not rely on draft dates for an upcoming payment.
